America, Start the Music!

Life is one grand, sweet song, so start the music.  ~Ronald Reagan

Making Love Out of Nothing at All - Air Supply

Music is the sound of angels, the light in our souls and there is never a wrong time for lovers to listen to their favorite love song.  Music is used to celebrate different occasions in our lives; it is the sound of marching bands and cheering crowds; the words we never can say to express our emotions but can bring us to tears with a melody that rushes us back to a certain memory that touches our hearts and minds.

There are certain songs played that remind me of younger days, carefree days, and then, there is music that brings me back to days of great sadness.  There are songs that just me and my beloved shared between us and silly songs, that remind me of the days when our children were young.  Patriotic songs, sung during times our country were undergoing great tragedy (as immediately following 9/11); and military bands marching across the fields that bring us to stand at attention, with hands over our hearts as we pledge allegiance to our flag.

What song could be played today to bring harmony and sweetness back into the souls of every American?

Many say this is the darkest of days for America and I have those same emotions.  This is the year that shall either make us or break us, as we consider which candidate speaks the truth, will attempt with the assistance of our leaders, to bring America back from those presently trying to steal our liberty and freedoms, under the guise of "security" and knowing what is best for us.

With each debate, each primary, the candidates are being weeded out, one by one, but the sounds of music does not lift anyone to a higher plain; there is no one particular song that joins us all together with hope that America has not seen her brightest of days and everything today is merely leftovers and soon, there will not even be leftovers, if this present administration remains in office for another term.

President Obama has whined for three years that he could not make it - he wasn't left anything at all - due to the former Presidents policies.  Hmm!  Wasn't he the man who stood on platforms, preaching a "hope and change" that would transform America?  Obama played a different type of "love" song - strange to our ears, as his song was not representative of America - his song was for the enemies and countries that hate America.  His song has a blend of socialism,  foreign to our founding fathers', and unknown to our Bill of Rights and Constitution.  Is it any wonder Americans refuse to dance to Obama's music?!

Which brings us to today and candidates who are making new promises.  Are they the sounds of a new song that Americans can trust, or are they the songs politicians will sing to gain votes only?  They are men - men with weaknesses and strengths, combined to make up the total of one man.  Political ads are flooding the airwaves, condemning each candidate for the weaknesses in his life, and Americans are left with the task of separating the weeds from their strengths.

Now, here's the good news!  Something I've saved for last!  The song (above) "Making Love out of Nothing at All" is the song Obama has sung for over three years.  His claims that he had nothing to work with, no Congress, no Representatives, and no Constitution, no examples of America's history is the biggest lie told America since its birth.

The candidate who remains standing can sing a song that represents all Americans, because that old song, the one Obama sings about having "nothing at all" is out of tune and merely a way to blame Americans and former presidents for his phony "blame game".

The Candidate for President can sing about the U.S. Constitution - the very foundation of the United States; he can sing a song uniting all Americans, as he sings "God Bless America"!  He can sing "My Country Tis of Thee, Sweet Land of Liberty", knowing it is "his" country - "our" country and not that of a foreign entity.  He can sing "America the Beautiful", "This is My County", "The Star-Spangled Banner", "I'm Proud to be an American" and we shall then be able to hear the music "Hail to the Chief", knowing that America has a strong leader to represent our country.

In closing, while we think upon the music and that one particular song each of us hold dear to our hearts, I have one suggestion for the Candidates and that is, ... focus on why you are campaigning and not what the other candidates did to offend you - focus on the reasons why America seeks a new President and you can start here - Litany of Failure.
