Obama Agrees To The Release Of Taliban Leaders From Gitmo

POLITICONS

Just days after they attack our airfield in Afghanistan, we’re letting more of these terrorists free.

Not to mention their other attacks on Wednesday, December 28, when the Taliban blew up 3 NATO soldiers in Afghanistan and on Thursday, December 29, the Taliban blew up 10 Afghan soldiers with a roadside bomb.

Plus don’t forget Joe Biden’s comment, “the Taliban, per se, is not our enemy.”

To top it off, the Obama administration is currently hoping to restore momentum of U.S. talks with the Taliban terrorists, after negotiations fell apart when Afghanistan President, Hamid Karzai, had doubts.
The US has agreed in principle to release high-ranking Taliban officials from Guantánamo Bay in return for the Afghan insurgents’ agreement to open a political office for peace negotiations in Qatar, the Guardian has learned.

According to sources familiar with the talks in the US and in Afghanistan, the handful of Taliban figures will include Mullah Khair Khowa, a former interior minister, and Noorullah Noori, a former governor in northern Afghanistan.

More controversially, the Taliban are demanding the release of the former army commander Mullah Fazl Akhund. Washington is reported to be considering formally handing him over to the custody of another country, possibly Qatar.
Note:
Is there an actual "Leader" in the entire country that doesn't see something wrong afoot?!  How about in Washington, DC?  Anyone, someone, ... no one?!  Apparently, VP Biden knew in advance that before releasing the Taliban terrorists from Gitmo, he had to at least TRY to convince Americans that the "Taliban are not our enemy".  So, if not our enemy, would someone like to explain why we've been in Afghanistan since 9/11?  I read one article where the Taliban are insulted by Biden's comment, because they, themselves, know they are the enemy of the USA and the free world.
Now, explain to us, one more time, what exactly the "MISSION" is of Homeland Security.  Anything change in their "MISSION" since September 11, 2011?
